A Day at the Lake

I had been hoping to make it to the lake a few times with the kids this summer, but after one thing and another we just didn't make it. Stunned by the realization that Kansas Dad's classes start in just two weeks, we planned a picnic at a state park for yesterday.




I think the kids had a good time. Second Daughter certainly loved the sand. We ended up having an early lunch while it rained and then headed home as thunderstorms blew in. All First Son and First Daughter would talk about was the thunder and how scared they were. (It really wasn't that scary.)
