Sibling Rivalry

What does it say about my children that the older three fight constantly over who gets to talk with the baby, who gets to move him when he gets too close to the TV, and who gets to tickle him while I'm changing his diaper?

Who am I kidding? It's adorable! I love that they love him so.

In the past, they also argued over who would sit next to him at meals until First Son and First Daughter devised a schedule. First Daughter sits next to the baby's high chair at breakfast. First Son sits next to him at lunch and Second Daughter sits next to him at dinner. They keep careful watch over any who stray from the schedule, too.

  2. Michelle, it really does! First Son is in the other room reading to the girls right now. So lovely and peaceful. I'm enjoying it while it lasts!

  4. Well, you certainly can't get mad at them for fighting if it's over the baby! :) That is funny.

My kids, especially the girls, get mad and pout if Anthony shows a preference for one or the other. At least he changes it up, though. Yeah, and sometimes he prefers Catherine over me! She is more fun, I have to admit.

  5. H of B, I suppose I shouldn't get mad, but the fighting at the meals was getting very old before they figured out their schedule.

My kids always prefer Grammy over me. She's all fun and no chores!
