This little book is just the right reading level for children of First Communion age. It tells the stories of ten Eucharistic miracles - times in which the true nature of the Eucharist, body and soul of Jesus Christ, are revealed in a miraculous way. Each of the miracles in the book is in response to the unbelief of someone. (I don't know if that's true of Eucharistic miracles in general.) The stories range from early Christianity (third century) through modern times (1906 and 1994), but most of them happen between 1227 and 1461.
I think children would find Eucharistic Miracles fascinating. The stories themselves are not quite as well written as I might hope, and by far the best illustration is the one on the cover. My favorite picture is one included of the author on her First Communion day.
This is a nice little book to have on our shelves, but I will not be assigning it in as school reading.
I have received nothing in exchange for this post. I purchased this book new. Links to Bookshop are affiliate links.
