That's cool! Did you and Josh build it? How deep is it and what do you plan to grow in there?
Kansas Dad built it. My job was to make sure he didn't accidentally hammer a child (meaning so he could pay attention to what he was doing and not worry about the kids who inevitably got in the way). This one so far has peppers in store (sweet and hot) and some other stuff, yet to be decided. He built another one for the front yard that will be full of basil, lettuce and bok choy, mostly.
Too fun. I am sure you will soon end up in the same boat as me...never enough space to grow all of the things your heart desires. We put in lemon cukes, edamame, basil, cilantro, and way more tomatoes than should be legal this weekend. Not to mention the bedding flowers. Addict!!!
I think it is a bit warmer here. Of course, we've had some very chilly weather in the evenings, so Kansas Dad is still bringing the pots in every night (and covering the one we have in the front garden). Hopefully that'll end soon because those are some big pots!If we get our farm with 5-10 acres, it should be a long while before we run out of space. I expect we'll run out of time for all the gardening first.
Comments make me happy; thanks for speaking up!
