I've Been There

Yesterday, I read Tales of Oliver Pig to First Son. I think I enjoyed the chapter called Snowsuits even more than he did. Poor Mother Pig is trying to get Oliver and Amanda ready for a foray into the snow and when her hard work is undone as she's putting on her own coat, she sits down for a good cry. I know just how she feels.

There are a bunch of Oliver and Amanda books, but this is the only one we've read. So far.

  1. Hmmmm. Yes, I'm sure I've felt that way on more than one occasion, too!

Our Amanda read Amanda Pig and Her Best Friend Lollipop this week. =) It was a winner (but definitely for girls.) She seems to be more interested in this series than some of the other similar series' at this level - I think because she can better relate to the realistic (and funny) family and friend situations presented. (And the name thing helps!) I think we're going to try Amanda Pig and the Wiggly Tooth next week.

Comments make me happy; thanks for speaking up!
