Query XIV

Has anyone outside the Nestle test kitchen ever made five dozen cookies with their chocolate chip cookie recipe? I thought I was being very careful today and still ended up with only three and a half dozen.

  1. I usually end up with three dozen medium-big cookies. I can't imagine how they get five dozen. They must be tiny! I would eat more of them if they were so small. With bigger ones, I can easily limit myself to two.

  2. I do, but only because I double the cookie recipe! :) I also just use one bag of choc. chips for the double batch, a habit formed growing up. Nobody seems to notice.

  3. H of B, that's so funny. We always doubled the recipe when I was growing up and put in 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips. (The undoubled recipe uses 2 cups.) The first time my husband made chocolate chip cookies after we got married I about died seeing all those chocolate chips! We make it the *real* way; we just make cookies very rarely. Kansas Dad prefers it that way, and I'm ok with that.

  4. My husband was just glad to get chocolate chip cookies that were still soft and that didn't also have nuts, coconut, or raisins in them!
